ROLE SUMMARY
The Finishing Unit Manager is a key position at our flagship finishing site. The role is responsible for all areas of pig finishing performance and welfare, delivering circa 400 finished pigs per week.
Hours – Fulltime 40 hours per week
A full UK driver license will be required.

SALARY & BENEFITS
Competitive salary £35,000 - £48,000, dependent upon experience

ROLE SUMMARY
This is a new, flexible hours position at Blanchard Farms and comprises of two roles outlined below. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering the required weekly tonnage of feed (circa 120t/week) to both the pig and beef finishing units. This will include ensuring a healthy and safe operation, working accurately and precisely, whilst maintaining a high standard of machine maintenance and tidiness. When not milling or delivering feed, depending upon the season, there will be various tasks, including yard, tractor and loader work.
A full UK driver license will be required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Milling
- Operating a Mercedes Buschhoff Mobile Mill & Mix, milling and mixing circa 120t of feed to our pig and beef finishing units. Each ration to be made precisely with a high attention to the quality of the feed produced. (Training will be provided)
- Accurate recording of products used and delivered.
- General maintenance of the mill, servicing, greasing etc.
General Farm Work
- Tractor, haulage & Telehandler work
- Maintenance and yard work
